Enugu State Governor, Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has presented a ₦1.62 trillion 2026 Appropriation Bill to the State House of Assembly, tagged the “Budget of Renewed Momentum”. The proposal marks Enugu’s boldest fiscal push yet, prioritizing infrastructure, human capital development, and economic expansion.
Education is the top priority, receiving 32.27% of the entire budget, reinforcing the administration's heavy investment in transforming learning outcomes and workforce readiness. Governor Mbah highlighted the strong performance of the 2025 budget, citing achievements in education, infrastructure, and industrial growth as the foundation for the renewed momentum.

Construction of five new transport terminals and rollout of 2,000 sedans for the city taxi scheme.
